Mission, Vision & Goals
Mission Statement: SCRD’s mission is to empower marginalized and underserved communities through humanitarian relief, sustainable development, and advocacy initiatives that promote social justice, economic inclusion, and equal access to essential services.
Vision Statement: A future where every Somali, regardless of background, has access to fundamental rights, services, and economic opportunities, enabling them to live with dignity, resilience, and self-sufficiency.
Core Goals: As a newly established NGO, SCRD has identified several foundational goals that will guide its operations and long-term strategic direction:
- Establish a strong organizational structure and governance framework to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Develop partnerships with international and local donors, NGOs, and government agencies to strengthen funding and implementation capacity.
- Conduct comprehensive needs assessments to identify key challenges in target communities and design effective interventions.
- Launch pilot projects in priority sectors, including healthcare, education, economic development, and WASH.
- Create sustainable livelihood opportunities by promoting vocational training and entrepreneurship programs.
- Empower women and marginalized groups through advocacy, leadership training, and access to resources.
SCRD aims to align its work with international humanitarian principles and the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to drive measurable, long-term impact.
